Thank you for your interest in our practice.  We have been specializing in the field of hair transplantation for over 30 years and are quite well known amongst the community of HT specialists.  We have patients coming to our office from various locations throughout the country due to recommendations from other physicians and previous patients.

The procedure in which we specialize consists exclusively of follicular units.  The donor piece is surgically removed from the area in the back of the head using a single surgical blade, which minimizes the possibility of transection or damage to the donor hair.  The grafts are then dissected under a binocular stereoscopic microscope and contain 1, 2, or 3 hairs each.  They are then strategically placed into the recipient area to provide the most natural result available at this time.  The insertion of the grafts is done with a very small needle ranging in size from 22 gauge to 18 gauge.  We use a method referred to as the "stick and place" method where a small hole is made and the graft is immediately placed into that hole.  This method, along with the small size of the needle, enables us to place the grafts remarkably close to each other.  Ultimately this can provide a much denser result than is often achieved through other transplant methods.

The actual consultation procedure is important so that we can accurately assess your needs and desires along with providing you with realistic expectations of what you can achieve through transplantation.  We do not employ sales consultants in our practice.  The doctors meet and consult with all of our potential patients personally.  During most consultations in the office, there will be an opportunity to actually watch a hair transplant procedure in progress.  Our patients are fully awake, under local anesthesia and are usually quite open to allowing other potential patients come in to talk with them during the procedure.  We don't charge for our consultations, but we do require them before scheduling an actual procedure.  The most ideal method is to come in to the office, but since many of our patients come in from out of town, this is not always a reasonable option.  The second best method of consultation is by talking over the phone with the use of photos.  These can either emailed or sent by US mail to our address.  If you choose to email us your photos, please send in JPEG format, if possible.  For the best evaluation possible, please take pictures of the front (facial), top (crown), both sides, and the back (donor area) of your head.  Also, pictures are best if taken from about 5 feet away.  After receiving and reviewing the photos, one of us will call you to talk about your options. 

Our usual setting that involves 6-7 hours of work by our surgical team with cases ranging from 1000-1500 grafts for a charge of approximately $4.00 per graft. We do not spend your money on advertising allowing us to charge 1/4 to 1/2 the general rate.
